Acrylic Dentures London

At our London Dental practice we recommend the use of acrylic dentures to fill the gaps or replace all of your teeth.

These dentures are the traditional pink plastic dentures, supported by the gums and adhered with temporary glue or metal clamps if you have any of your natural teeth left.

This type of dentures are very affordable and cheaper than metal dentures. Our dentist recommend acrylic dentures when cost is one of your concerns.

Support for plastic or acrylic dentures comes from the soft tissues (gums) only, which is why they are referred to as ‘tissue borne’. Although the plastic components surround natural teeth (in the case of partial dentures), they do not acquire any significant support from them. Acrylic partial dentures occasionally have metal clips or clasps, but this is to help retain the denture and keep it in place.

Acrylic partial dentures are cheaper and require less sophistication in design than metal dentures and are often prescribed and fitted when cost is a consideration or the denture is going to be used temporarily or placed immediately on the day of the extraction(s) as an interim measure.

Our treatment is only complete when you are 100% happy. All adjustments are free of charge. We also have special arrangements to minimise the number of adjustments you may need.
